Hi There

I’m Beth Nicholls, a Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Gundog Trainer based in Central Scotland. I am passionate about helping people to work with their animals and have fun whilst doing it.

All About Me

I hold an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour. I am a member of leading professional organisations, including the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) as an associate member working towards full membership. I am also a member of the British Veterinary Behaviour Association (BVBA) and European Society of Veterinary Clinical Ethology (ESVCE), working closely with vets to provide behaviour support grounded in science and welfare.

Alongside my academic background, I bring years of hands-on experience with dogs – from helping families with everyday behaviour challenges, to training and competing with my own gundogs.

My approach is:

  • Evidence-based – using the latest science and best practice

  • Welfare-focused – ensuring the well-being of both dog and owner

  • Practical and supportive – giving you strategies that work in real life

Outside of client work, you’ll often find me training or competing with my own gundogs, or enjoying the Scottish countryside with my partner.

My goal is to help dogs and their people live happier, more harmonious lives – whether that’s overcoming behaviour difficulties or enjoying the journey of gundog training together.
